It was really quite unprofessional in the sense that the information booklet left about the Guest House was not up-top-date by scribbling out old information and writing in pen the latest information e.g. previous owners were no longer there and it was taken over as at 16th April 2013 Read less

I've had some great feed back from guests who have stayed at Lantern Guest House since taking it on from 16th April. It is in a great location, the pin code door lock system is excellent and the rooms are cleaned with care. Room 1 is quite spacious, Rooms 2 and 3 are adequately sized. I've done various things to upgrade the rooms and facilities including installing high speed 80/20 wifi (the new hub and password details being written temporarily in ink). We are friendly and professional.

Had to go hunt for the wifi password for myself (found it under the router) because the code in the 'guidebook' was not correct. Probably due to a recent change of ownership though. And I did find it.

We stayed for 2 nights, the room was pleasant and clean with simple, tasteful decor and the location was good, 10 min walk into the centre, but local shops and pubs etc at hand. The only thing that would have been good is a change of towels but otherwise great value for money.
We had to rate the service and friendliness as 'fair' because we didnt come in to contact with anyone due to the type of accommodation. Read less

We stayed in a small room with a keycode, we liked this a lot as it felt like our own place, there was enough room for us as we were out sightseeing most of the time.
