All our rooms are En-suite, with FreeView Televisions, DVD players, Tea/Coffee (FairTrade) making facilities, MineralSPA Shower Gel & Shampoo and Towels.

In Lantern House itself, we offer 4 Double rooms.

In Windsor House, our sister guest house, located at 23 Windsor Street, we offer 2 Double Rooms.

We don't offer daily cleaning, unless the guest specifically requires this service, for which there will be a £5 surcharge.

Towels are automatically changed every 3rd day for guests staying with us for longer periods.

We don't offer breakfast, but in the immediate surroundings there are many breakfast places, including the Playfair in the Omnicenter and the famous Valvona & Crolla.

There are lots of Chinese, Italian, Indian and Scottish restaurants within a 100 meter radius: The Tailend, 21212, Hawke & Hunter, Phuket Pavillion, Ghurka Brigade etc.

This is the ideal place for you to stay when visiting Edinburgh for Shopping, Rugby Games, Edinburgh Castle, Sight Seeing, Theatre or for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

We apologise, however we do not accept Stag or Hen parties since we are located in a quiet area, with residential neighbours.

During weekends the minimum nights stay at our property is 2 nights. During Hogmanay and Christmas the minimum stay is 4 nights.

If you will be arriving late, after 10pm, we'd advise booking one of the Lantern House Lower Ground rooms, because they have sophisticated pin code locks which allow self check-in.

Parking - there is on street parking which costs 1 pound an hour, with a maximum stay of 4 hours. On weekends and week days from 17.30 - 08.30 parking is free. There is also a multi storey car park close by in the Omni Centre. The closest free parking is located in the Easter Road area.
